A basic hotel, but met all my needs at a good price. Friendly staff, good wifi, and good airconditioning. Very convenient to hospital and SAHMRI. Great breakfast cafe around the corner. Would come back.

Pro - next to hospital.
Cons - low quality with lots of maintenance issues, very thin walls, not convenient for food/shopping.
Other than proximity to new hospital there are
almost no redeeming features to the hotel. Don't believe the photos - the quality of rooms is scary (we had doors coming off their hinges and the curtains didn't shut properly - and the elevators continually felt like they were about to fail at any stage).
The walls were so thin you could clearly hear the rustle of plastic bags from next door - zero privacy. Also the car park out the back is very limited size and you need to call the hotel before arrival to secure a park. Few if any options if you don't get one.
The staff appeared to have little interest in working there or providing a good quality service. Kind of depressing.
Also there is almost nothing to eat nearby - closest decent meals in Gouger St about 15-20mins walk away.
Would not recommend staying here - and I definitely thought was over-priced.

The service was great very friendly service right in the cbd of adelaide an straight across from the new royal adelaide hosital, rooms are clean and like a home away from home id recommend it

Located directly opposite the New Royal Adelaide Hospital the Riviera is well placed. The rooms are tidy although a bit dated. The hotel lackes a restaurant bit does offer a "packed" breakfast. Ok for an over night stay

The worst accommodation we've had in Adelaide FOR VALUE FOR MONEY. Could feel springs and wires of bed and asked for another room.
Was told that all beds in other rooms the SAME? Much better bed supplied but decor in both rooms and general facilities not updated since the ?90s. Despite requesting early book-in and it confirmed was told room not available til 2pm. Walls extremely paper thin - have never heard and felt mobile phone in another room VIBRATE before. Husband thought my phone was ringing. Heard complete conversations of other guests. Clean bathroom but stunk of bleach. This place is a fair walk from facilities and compared to same priced rooms near Rundle Mall, this place is completely OVER PRICED. Only saving grace is that its near the new hospital which is not opened yet and tram stops. Will not be using again due to its lack of value for money and it does not make clear that parking is $18. All web pics have cushions on beds etc. NO pillows on the beds, no luxury, not the place to go for romance, this is barely functional, basic accommodation and it is over priced which is its biggest downfall.
