5 out of 5 stars. We had a party of five on a Saturday night,. The service from the staff was friendly and competent, The food was of good selection, With levels of hotness being offered on a scale of ten heat was not an issue. The highest heat on our table was an 8, and definitely packed a punch . A good night was had by all, and the food was very reasonably priced. If you're looking for good curry, look no further.
best Place to visit Prospect if anyone is looking for Indian Food, Indian Cuisine and Indian Restaurant.

DIABOLICAL!!
I would love to be able to review Maharajahs Indian Restaurant in a positive light - I would love to talk about the delicious Indian food we enjoyed with our guests - but I can't - because we didn't actually receive ANY of the $106 worth of food we ordered at 6:30pm. After an hour & 15 minutes we tried calling & the phone was constantly engaged, for over half an hour. I tried calling Eat Now & got voice mail. After 90 minutes, although we had ordered food for delivery, so we could stay at home & enjoy our guests company; my husband drove down to Maharajahs to be told they had no record of our order. Whilst there, he pointed out to them that their phone was visibly off the hook on the counter - hence our inability to contact them via phone. He also observed several customers walking out in anger stating they would not be waiting any longer.
He can home & I tried calling again with my order number, I advised them that I had two text messages confirming my order, an email and a personal call from someone at the Eat Now website to confirm our order.
By this stage it had been over two hours since we placed our order. The girl on the phone was rude, defensive & stated they had no record of our order & she didn't have the knowledge to help us. She then stated the manager was too busy to come to the phone - after I made it clear that was not good enough, the manager came to the phone.
It very quickly became clear that he had located our order & that a staff member had received it then not acted upon it. - no staff member would own up to it.
It was now over 2 hours since we ordered & I asked just how quickly could they fulfill our order - he went to speak to the kitchen staff & what followed next was a debacle of the highest order. I sat on the phone for over 10 minutes whilst I listened to the manager & staff screaming at each other in the back ground.
Finally 2 hours & 20 minutes after we placed our order, having fed the kids baked beans & with a house full of hungry guests, I canceled my order. The conduct of the staff screaming at each other & volubly banging things around, left me with no confidence that we would receive a good quality meal that hadn't been spat in.
I cancelled my order & we ordered pizza that was ready in 20 minutes. We ate dinner at 9:30pm.
An absolutely disgusting debacle and I am still out of pocket $106. I will NEVER order from Maharajahs again.

Wow! This place has crashed and burned! It used to be one of the best places in Adelaide for great butter chicken but sadly in my most recent experience not only was the butter chicken not especially tasty (tasted a lot like tomato soup) and the naan undercooked and dry but it took more than an hour and a half to be delivered! How does it take so long to cook something so bad?

Primarily this review is focused on customer service. My fiance and I placed an order for dinner (pick-up) and when we received it, we went to check that everything was in the bag but was told assuredly, "don't worry, it's all there." Well, got the order home and lo and behold, it wasn't all there. We called back and were told "oh yes, it's still here... Didn't you check before you left?" So after driving back, receiving our missing items and returning home to cold Indian food, without any apology, I can safely say we'll be going elsewhere for Indian take-away.

I ordered food for two at 5.30pm including entrees and mains to be delivered. It took an hour and a half to arrive only to be told by the driver my main was unavailable. I never received a phone call to see if I wanted to order something else. After ringing and complaining about this the girl offered to get a free curry delivered which I happily accepted at 7.20pm. Another hour and a half passed and still hadn't received anything. I called back 9.00pm most staff had gone home and person on the phone said had no knowledge of this and that he would call back. yep guessed right no return call. Most shoddy piece of customer service I have received in a long time, I will never order from this place again.
