Very expensive movies. Often has rubbish on the floor and seats after after being 'cleaned' as the staff dont have enough time to clean properly between sessions. Chairs are sometimes dirty and ripped. Screen and audio is good but worth the drive to a cineplex.

My partner and I attended the Gold Class cinemas on 21/10/2017 to watch Mountain Between Us. We ordered food and drinks - food wise we ordered the gyozas, sweet fries and chicken skewers. The chicken was undercooked and he didn't realise it, and ate it all. He's now had food poisoning. He's hardly had any sleep because of the vomiting, cramps, gastro and diarrhoea. We came to your establishment with the trust that we will receive clean, hygienic and safe service, instead we were fed with raw meat, which we had no way of checking because of the dim lights in the cinema.

The "Gold Class"food is disgusting and so overpriced...$56.50 for a glass of wine, a milkshake, 4 chicken sticks that were under cooked, disgusting, inedible and should be thrown in rubbish and sweet potato chips that were hard, tasteless and should have been left in the ground..........Suggest Event cinemas stop trying to rip people off and let them enjoy some luxury - but no doubt they will close soon and blame lack of customer support - WAKE UP people!!!! In this day and age people demand value for money - I will NEVER come back to your cinemas again...........

Upon arrival, nobody at the counter of the cinema. After entering Gold Class, one attendant quiet, waiting for another customer to make up their mind. We waited for 3 minutes and he was just there, stationary, looking at the lady who was reading the menu. Did not say "hi", "Good evening", "here is a menu", etc...
All good, no worries.
We chose the "3 fries" option (fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings), to come in 20 minutes into the movie, and a "pizzeta" 40 minutes into the movie.
That, plus a terrible quality post mix coke and tap water with ice costed over $40.00. Hey, it's Gold Class, we understand the price.
Well, the fries came to us before the movie even started. Oh well, ok, I guess. Nevertheless, the fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings were so salty we struggles to eat it. That being said, it does happen that chefs sometimes "mess up" the salt on fries.
Well, the pizza came in after an hour into the movie. Terrible quality frozen pizza, easily the worst and smallest I have ever tasted in my life (bear in mind I paid $19.00 for it). On top of that, the chef thought it would be smart to throw MORE SALT on top of the frozen pizza. What can I say, I was hungry and, amongst a lot of coke, I managed to eat it (the missus just declined to eat it altogether).
When the movie ended, we tried to talk to someone, however, all we found by the bar was a cleaning trolley. We pretty much almost walked into the kitchen, until a young lady asked us what she could do for us. As I hate writing bad feedback online, I told her what happened, and, funny enough, she asked me to write this online so that "... the Food and Beverage Manager can do something about it"... So, there it is... Terrible food, outrageous prices and very bad service...

The cinemas are usually pretty clean. Vmax cinema 2 and 3 usually shake/vibrate a fair bit from what I i believe is a car park above, but the sound proofing prevents any major disruptions during the movie. Food & drink is expensive, but no more than any other cinema I've been to. Gold class is expensive, but the seating and atmosphere is usually worth it for the occasional treat. Ticket prices are a bit steep, but well worth it as the cimeas are rarely packed and good seats arent hard to come by. I'm more than happy to pay their ticket prices to avoid the popular but overcrowded cinemas elsewhere.
