Everything about this practice was great, up to the point when I returned with with unambiguous signs of post-implant paresthesia. I feel an electric zap to my face and teeth every time I touch my lower lip and chin. Instead of pursuing the real reason for my neuro-sensory impairment, the symptoms were brushed off as being caused by shingles. Following a detailed independent investigation including an MRI scan and a visit to an ENT specialist at the Greenslopes hospital it was confirmed that the discomfort I go through on a daily basis was indeed caused by the dental implant placement. I understand that this type of procedure always carries a risk and was prepared to accept the fact that this had happened and move on, but I really don't appreciate a medical practitioner casually steering away from a correct diagnosis in an attempt to mitigate their liability.
