CQU pretty much makes me feel like I'm in another country attending university, such as India or Pakistan as I'm a minority being a white Australian. Anyway aside from that fact which is easily forgivable if the teaching was any good (it is not) or the courses actually have great equipment (they do not) but alas, this is not the case.
I've had the unfortunate experience of attending this university and they run this like a puppy mill, borderline illegal with zero care for anything or anyone involved. If there is a problem, it is never resolved. Even if taken right to the top, every single step of the way is obvious, they just cover up their mistakes for each one of their staff members and teachers. I have never EVER had such a poor teaching experience in my life, so much I'm not even sure how CQU is classified as a university? I've had better experiences at private colleges.
Safe to say, unless you are purely an international student looking for a visa as this is a cheap university (for international standards for fees) give CQU a miss, not only a miss, I'd advise the widest berth possible .
The only exception would be the nursing department as they seem lovely and caring and had the privileged of doing one subject through there and was very supportive and a pleasure to deal with.

This is a university with a bit of a difference, the campus is smaller than others but yet is large enough to accommodate students in their daily life. Whilst facilities are limited the essentials are at least existent. There is a library with quite study area, computer labs and and student recreational area.
Wifi is strong through out the campus and allows any one with an Eduroam account to have access to it.
Social life on campus is a bit dull more just a base for going to lectures and having a place to study.
Provides a comfortable environment with easy access to public transport, at night the campus is in a safe spot and would be highly unlikely to encounter and hassles when leaving late.
