My daughter was treated at the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital after a dog bite to her face. The staff were ultra-professional and caring, who managed to put both my daughter and my family at ease. The children's rooms are wonderful with sleeping pallets beside every bed for parents, allowing me to stay right by her side after her operations. Despite the poor press about this hospital being opened before all the infrastructure was completed, a hospital is far more than it's bricks and mortar - the staff are what make it work. My only gripe is the cost of the carpark, operated by a third party.

Hi! I sincerely give thanks to the Lady Cilento Emergency staff that provided an excellent service and care for my boy who had a fractured left forearm last Tuesday afternoon 12 Sept 2017. To Dr Dan Gillespie, Dr Al, Nurse-Clare and company who made as painless as possible to fix my son's broken arm, my family and I are forever grateful. To the amazing Paramedics - Steph and team who administered first aid and brought my son to the Emergency - Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, words are not enough to thank you all. It made my heart swell to see such a superb Medical Team who takes joy in looking after its patient. My son was fortunate to have you on his aid. Very impressive! Thank you so much!

Execs know the problems and haven't fixed them. If only making complaints resulted in fixes!! Latest one was a doctor who had no pathology request forms and expected that we should make an appointment with our gp to get a request done. LOL I refused to waste my time on money because of this and insisted he do an electronic request to pathology in the Cilento that was 40 metres away. He did it and made out I had the problem and blood test was done 10 minutes later!! with no cost and no wasted time. Have I made a complaint no because nothing changes. We have better things to do with our time. I should say we know a good hospital when we see it as have been in hospital with our child 300 times in 11 different hospitals!!. Good hospitals fix problems and stop the spin.

My 5 year old cut his head and needed staples. The doctor "Mathew" got a trainee nurse in without asking my permission.
That I really didn't mind as they've got to watch & learn.
He let the trainee do the staples without asking me and as expected, she stuffed up. The staples had to be removed.
Had to diplomatically tell him to do it himself.
Not good.

Thanks for great service. I checked into the hospital with an infected knee, and was kindly and professionally dealt with by all staff. The doctors and nurses were great, and ensured that I was cared for and safe at all times. When it came to my discharge, all staff said goodbye and hoped I was better soon. I an't begin to thank everyone that works tirelessly at LCCH to ensure that all patients are cared for.
