Hotel Urban is hands down one of my absoloutley favourite places to stay when visiting Brisbane! The minute you walk in the door your greeted with fantastic service that has, every time, make you feel like the one and only person they’re going to care about. I’ve had a couple of problems with the rooms like a blocked drain that caused the bathroom to flood and a toilet that wouldn’t flush but one quick phone call to reception and I’m off to another room in minutes! One time I had both reception AND the maintenance guy come and check out the new room before settling me in to make sure it was fully functioning! Other hotels you’d hardly get a phone call! The food is great, might sometimes over compensate for the size of the meat by overdoing it on the salad or the chips but hey, you’re getting fed and waited on, if there isn’t enough, get dessert!

I took a group of students for breakfast and the staff accommodated us perfectly. The food was prompt and the place was nice and quite.

I like this hotel, but it is flawed. The first impression you get when you enter the lobby with the vibrant colour scheme, lively music and beautiful natural light is welcomed and makes one smile, but you enter the hallway to get to your room then enter your room and the funky uniqueness they pride themselves on is long forgotten. The popcorn ceilings indicate the hotel is older than it portrays and the drab, beige furnishings in the room are lacklustre. The bed is comfortable and the shower adequate, but the missing link from the lobby to the rooms is a let down. The staff are always friendly, which is great, but a little more attention to detail in the rooms wouldn't hurt.

Great hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with our air-conditioning and they organised a room change at 1030 at night no problem.
They use WGAC toilet paper and gorgeous Australian owned and formulated toiletries with no nasty ingredients!
Bedding was soft and very comfortable.
We had room service breakfast - Eggs Benny, and it was delicious!
Would definitely stay again.

Pleasant stay. Rooms are a little bit small and old, but tastefully refurbished. The little balcony is nice, but only just big enough for two. Spectacular views over Brisbane, the river and the surrounding Hills. Felt more like a 3 star hotel, but the views are probably worth the extra star
