It could be partly due to my wanting to try this place for months, but it just sorta fell flat. Ordered 2 drinks and some nibbles.
Food: The pork belly was tops. The charcuterie, however, was super disappointing and just not restaurant quality...the items are all purchasable at Coles and tasted of the same quality (a small dish of Peckish crackers, mixed olives, low quality meats and cheese). The best part was the focaccia bread and I'm sorry but no one orders a charcuterie board for the bread. If the offerings are going to be of that quality then the price should be cut in half.
Drinks: Tasty and creative but a bit overpriced. I was happy with mine but my partner's had no depth to it, just tasted like juice.
Service + Atmosphere: Attentive staff - for how big the drinks menu is, staff were almost too quick to try and take our order! Inside was warmly lit, hipster decor, fun music.
Will give it another go but maybe just for drinks next time.

Intimate cocktails and tapas. Friendly staff who are eager to please. Book early and secure a booth for an amazing night out.

Cosy. Good area for more informal gathering out the back with a nice little bar. Staff were nice. Cocktails were yummy. Food was pricy but very good. We got platters to share. Drinks menu extensive

Good wine menu also good range of beers and ciders. Cocktails are imaginative too. Friendly staff and great cheese board. Can get a little crowded but a good place to hold a private function. Seating outside is quiet and parking on street is plentiful.

Canvas proved to be a very friendly little cocktail bar which worked out well for dinner. We enjoyed the tapas on offer and there were substantial enough offerings to provide a satisfying dinner.
Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I would imagine it could get a bit crowded on the weekends for oldies such as ourselves, but we enjoyed our midweek visit.
