Extensive choice of classic French cuisine on offer. I had the steak tartare followed by the stuffed pig's trotters - both excellent and couldn't be faulted.
Unfortunately, what would otherwise have been a great evening was ruined when, half way during our meal, I left the table to settle the wine bill separately (another guest at the table was to pick up the main tab). The waiter handed my credit card back together with my receipt. As I turned to return to the table to finish my main course, he stopped me and bluntly asked 'Aren't you going to give me a tip?'
I have never, ever been approached with such a brusque demand before. Even in the States where hospitality staff rely on tips due to their low wage. To have a demand from a waiter who is recieving at least (if not over) an Award Wage, is just not professional.
Bar on site. We ate in the evening, so no views from the windows. Very noisy venue - hard to have a conversation at the table. Limited off street parking close by. No free wi-fi.

The food was fine but pricey. The service was prompt, but we noticed it was sort of 'cliquey' - certain tables got a lot of extra attention from all the staff. I guess they were regulars, but it left us feeling a bit out of it.
What we really didn't like was being asked outright for a tip. It was done in that sneaky "were you happy with the service?" way. For this reason, we won't go back.

Great menu for vegetarians! Choose the 5 course option - a great experience. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will be dining here again soon.

Excellent experience, food was great and helpful advice on what to order. The wine pairing was perfect all topped off with an delightful desert and coffee.
Nice to have the chef come round and ask how things were going and give some back ground on the ordered meals.
A wholly enjoyable experience, will definitely be back
