Had two birthday celebrations here. Was good. Good service. Could be better. Love the seafood though.

The food took a while to come out but when it came it was quite nice. Coffee was okay but the mugs were chipped. Staff looked panicked and confused when we asked for details about the food but it all worked out.

Took my mum here for what was supposed to be a nice casual birthday lunch.
We ordered the chicken and avo crepes - they were almost inedible and we could only manage a few bites each. Looked like they'd literally been thrown on the plate. Also ordered a cup-cake to share, and asked for it to come out after the main. It was only after I'd paid for it they informed me it was out of stock.
I asked (I thought reasonably) since the main was horrible could we please have a complimentary cup cake....we both chose another flavour, waitress went to get it only to inform us once again this other flavour not available!!! The manager never personally addressed my complaint about the main.
Finally we were given 2 of what was left, and they were dry and stale. They also mixed up my coffee order with someone else's.
Thoroughly disappointed and won't be returning. Took Mum here because it's supposed to be a brisbane institution, but looks like it has just gone the way of every other franchise where there is zero care factor and zero customer service.

Don't come here on a Sunday. Last Sunday the chef had the politeness to tell us the food would take a half hour before we ordered. This Sunday they said nothing. We've been sat a half hour and still no food. People before us kicked up a fuss and have just got theirs.
The excuse we were given was 'the chef stepped out'. Last time I'll be going here!

I had 20 minutes to kill and ordered a coffee and vanilla slice. After 15 minutes (and not very busy) I went up to the counter and asked how much longer because I had an appointment. She said sorry wont be long. I sat down and after another five minutes food and coffee arrived. After I finished, I noticed had no napkin so I went to the counter again and asked if I could have a napkin and she pointed to them on the counter. By this time I am in a real hurry to get to my appointment. I wiped by face, looked around for a bin and could not see one so put the napkin down on the counter and walked away thinking that they would dispose of it. I heard a voice calling 'scuse me!!!", I turned around and she said "can you put it in the bin" I said "where is the bin" and she said "they are all throughout the centre" . I picked up the napkin, walked passed the table I was sitting at and threw it on the table in disgust. It has been a long time since I encountered such poor customer service. The coffee and vanilla slice set me back about $11.00 for the trouble and there were not very many other customers around.
