This is a great place to come for a day out if you have children or if you like to see small trains. There are two tracks, one is 7-1/4" gauge, the other is 5" gauge.
In spite of what Google would have you believe, the railway only operates on the first Saturday of each month, between 11am and 4pm.
There is an important rule that anyone who wants to ride the small trains must wear covered shoes (not thongs).
