On a recent visit to Hobart, I had the most amazing burger EVER at The Quatermasters Arms. I've told all my friends they must try it.The Cape Grim burger was fantastic and I will make sure I visit every time I'm in Hobart.Outstanding.10 out of 10 guys.

Really friendly service from staff who know their stuff. Inside there's a cosy lounge area with old leather armchairs and an open fire. Really tasty food too.

So pleased to find somewhere serving great food later on. Turned up at 9:45pm and asked if the kitchen was still open. Thankfully it was. Really good sweetcorn fritters, a delicious buddha bowl and steak and chips were served promptly. Excellent service too.

Easily the most welcoming bar I have ever been to. It was like visiting good friends and being ushered to the roaring fireplace with beer in hand. Good selection and knowledge of local beers. Interesting foods on offer and a steady supply of beers to keep us going. I'd say 'table service', but that'd be a disservice for the homeliness of the service.

Quirky decor. Excellent food. Very extensive drink range at the bar. Wait staff have good sense of humour. Prompt service considering how busy it gets. Open late.
