Friendly service, very fast takeaway and the best Indian curries I've had in a very long time. Really reasonable price too.

We've eaten here scores of times. Twice a month and it's always delicious. Authentic Indian with friendly service and a Chef who will meet your needs. Licenced and plenty of parking

Indian food is my favourite and I know what is good and what is bad since i have been to so many different places before and this is the worst place i have been to so far! we ordered 3 Veg Dishes - Kadai Paneer; Malai Kofta and Daal... Kadai Paneer was like they have dipped panner and raw vegetable in red souse; Kofta in Malai was like stone ( too hard to break); in Daal they had added only salt and chilli .. literally nothing else...
However so many People have give 5 Star to this restaurant; not sure if they have ordered non veg and this place is good for non veg... certainly this place is not good for Vegetarian dishes.

I'm a lover of Indian food and make it my mission to try every place offering Indian in Tasmania... Then rating them!
Dawat now holds esteemed First Place in my opinions!
Their vegetarian dishes are as fantastic as their meat dishes and this is coming from a 'Meat-o-holic'.
For takeaway, their wait-times are long but the food is more than worth it!
