Monday lunch time dining was a pleasant experience. Three of us had the Beer- battered Flathead, which was excellent. It was served with chips and a small bowl of salad. The fish was hot, crispy and very tasty; the chips were perfectly fried and came salted ( but not too salty); and the salad was fresh and crispy. All three of us cleared our plates, which speaks for itself. The fourth of our group had a chicken burger, and again, found it nicely cooked and tasty. The venue was pleasant and easy to find, although it only has a very small carpark. Street parking is outside the door and I've always managed to find a spot somewhere (even if it involved a walk of a couple of hundred metres) as Sandy Bay is a very busy shopping area. The Metz has undergone an owner change since our last visit, but the standard of food and service is still very good. We'll happily go there again.

Nice and clean with a reasonable range of wines. Staff are pleasant and polite but lacking in in-depth product knowledge.
