Very decent food and good atmosphere. We went there with our boy who has food allergies and the waitress was very accommodating, going back and forth to check with the chef to make sure we have something safe for him. All of us enjoyed our meals. Was planning to go back the next evening for dinner but we missed it due to our long road trip. Will definitely going back if we ever visit Hobart again.

Japanese style but Tassie food.
Very expencive and doesn't worth the price. I guess my expectations was too hight for a well reviewed restaurant like this. There is better and cheaper japanese restaurants in Hobart.
The restaurant itself have no charme.

Incredible atmosphere and service. The food was excellent and the portions where exactly right for my hunger level.

Quality food, fresh produce. But it's a pretty stock standard Japanese menu which for a place which is marketing itself on being different (eg no sashimi).

I've never expected l can enjoy such real Japanese in Australia. Apparently everything of their food is handmade from scratch and we can enjoy the great food thanks to their such efforts. Actually it is hard to find such a Japanese restaurant in Australia despite it is one of the keys to good Japanese food (I can imagine it is very difficult to cook all about Japanese food from scratch in other countries, though.) Impressive.
