They offered me points for my rental then realised they'd lose money so refused to honour their contract. Terrible service from their customer relations team.

Very poor customer service. ..and they provide car which already have dirty smoke smell and when we going to return car they blaiming that have smoke smell and have to pay $150 for steam cleaning. ..so this is how they run business and get paid salary. And also no responsible if by mistake if we forget any items in car like GPS or handsfree...this is what I had an experience and same also reviewed on Facebook page reviews as well...very poor service.

I've only had limited dealing with Hertz, and have seen a few negative reviews here and there, though thought I'd go ahead and hire as it was the closest rental company to where I live.
I've been hiring a car fairly regularly from Hertz in Glen Iris, it's been a very positive experience for me. Easy, efficient.. the staff there have always been so helpful and friendly.. really nice crew. The Toyota Corolla I've hired on both occasions was quite new, running smoothly and always immaculately clean.
Not sure what the other locations are like, but I've only ever had positive dealings with these guys so far.

The day that I had to return the car I was trying to extend my booking but nobody answered, after 2 hours they called me informing that I had to return the car within 10-15 minutes!!!! It was impossible for me because I was in other part of the city.
When I returned the car I was informed that there was a penalty fee of one day rental even I returned the car, I rent the car many times using most of the time Hoppers Crossing Office,when they have issues with their fleet for the next day they always inform me......that's what is called a customer service!!! As gold member I expected at least a 50/50 compromize..........as I rent very often a car, I am not sure to go back to Glen Iris office
