We happened to arrive when there was a last post service. There were lots of school kids there but they stayed to designated areas so they didn't really run amock lol. The memorial was nice, and the ceremony was okay. The staff were pretty good. The tank outside was pretty cool.

A nice place to get some alone time. Walk through the display and get some information about the battle. Go to the roof and get a beautiful view of Melbourne.

This building is massive and as well as it should be. It serves as a memorial for the soldiers that have lost their lives. There is a flame out front that continues to burn. Also, there is a building in the distance that if you look from the steps it will resemble a face. Just a little fun fact.

I really appreciate the respect and reverence of this whole place towards the subject matter of the sacrifice of war. The names of soldiers are inscribed and kept in meticulous condition, showing us that war isn't glamour, but a tale of self sacrifice and bravery. This whole feeling of solemnity is wonderfully preserved and despite not being from Australia, I can't but hold a deep sense of respect for the soldiers who served.

We visited this place as both myself and my partner love learning about the history of places and really appreciate war memorials due to both having family that have served for generations!
This place is wonderful, it's really really well presented and everything is easy to see and read.
I'd highly recommend for anyone and everyone to give it a visit.
