Well...firstly, the facilities are awesome from what you can expect for a 5 star hotel. The jacuzzi with beautiful city view, the deck is a nice experience during summer. However I have to agree that it is difficult to get someone to pick up the phone although there is always someone there when I visit Chuan Spa. The staff are very friendly though. Now with the therapist, I also agree that they are not seriously trained to deliver the quality of massage that Chuan Spa could offer. I had only one favourite therapist (Casey) which resigned last year, she knows exactly where to hit the right spot from the first minute until end of the session. I tried other therapists after she left but couldn’t find someone comparable to her. Wish Chuan Spa would improve the quality of their therapist.

Overpriced massage. The hotel facilities were really good except the massage was terrible. I spoke the the lady who conducted the massage complaining that I had quite a lot of tension in my shoulders and to focus on that area. It felt like she did not know how to massage and could not find where any of my knots were and thus did not get rid of any knots in my shoulders and her response was one massage won't get rid of any tension.
I wrote a complaint to the management and had no response. I've had lots of massages in the past and expected the staff at this hotel to be professionals but obviously these ones are not. Management obviously doesn't care if their staff are trained or not and will still charge you for a professional service.

The booking system is appalling - back and forth email as they don't answer the phone ( although when I was there, someone was always sitting behind the desk?) But, luckily I kept the emails as they booked me on the wrong day - left a message on my phone and charged my card for the appointment that I didn't make! When I did get there the facilities were good and the facial was nice. BUT!!! I paid (alot) for a 1 hour facial and with starting late, the product upsell (consultation) and the therapist going to get the products she needed for the facial it was a 40 minute facial. (and yes I did time it!) I expected alot more.

Booking system is pathetic - has to be done online since they never answer their phones. Emails are dragged out and not answered for 12hours at a time.
They didn't respond to my enquiry until late at night and since (I was asleep) I didn't reply to that email until first thing the next morning, 8hours later they decided to 'matter-of-factly' inform me that they had given my appointment away because I didn't respond immediately to secure it. No decency, no curtesy, unprofessional and discraceful customer service. If I could give a lesser star I would!
