Great venue that is always changing.
The Owl and Cat have been putting on a variety of interesting pieces from plays, poetry slams, short plays and even a Mario Kart night. If you are interested in seeing some interesting and or thought provoking pieces of art then do come and drop by the Owl and Cat.

Such a great vibe at The Owl and Cat. I love the people here and the confronting and relevant performance I've seen and been involved in. This amazing theatre provides so many opportunities for young, emerging artists, producing only new work. Incredible place!

Having been involved with the theatre, I have come to know the owners as being extremely passionate about what they do and are constantly striving for improvement.
I think they have done an amazing job to upgrade the theatre to what it is now, often audiences come in and they are very impressed with the changes that have been made!
They are offering great opportunities for upcoming artists to be involved in new and interesting theatre and provoke thought and change!
Their programming is original and can cater to many different theatre goers from their short play festival 'Orgasm' to plays for social change 'Co-Exist' they also offer acting classes with scholarships to New York, what other small independent theatre is doing that?
Im glad to be involved and I look forward to the continual growth and investment in the Melbourne arts community.

I am really enjoying the productions that are being put on at the Owl and the Cat in recent times. The ones I have been too, have been entertaining and thought provoking - but more than that: they are clever, well written, well directed, and they are using good talented young actors.
Keep up the great work. You have come a long way and things are really going well now that you are directing and putting on your own choice of plays.
I remember when the Owl and the Cat used to allow any budding director to hire the venue to put on their own creations... and that was a bit "hit and miss" quality wise. But now - now that the owners are in charge of what gets put on - it's a whole new ball game. Well done!
