Been here several times, the staff have a difficult job to place all the animals that we humans reject. We need this business to stay open as a necessity. The director is what makes the Lort Smith.
Customer service is outstanding.

Went there without appointment because my cat had blocked bladder. Good facility and staff. Downside, I ended up spending more than what initially estimated. Upside, unlike private clinics, they offer payment plans.

My local vet tried to charge me $660 for neutering my puppy, including a superfluous blood test he didn't even need. They inspected his teeth and told me to postpone his operation because his baby teeth hadn't yet fallen out. He said I may as well wait so that if they don't fall out, they can remove them in the same procedure (at a cost).
Lort Smith conducted the neutering for less than half the price!!! And just rang me to say his teeth are wobbly anyways and could we please take them out? I said sure and asked how much it would cost "its no worries, free of charge, it will only take a couple of minutes" Thank you!

Thank you for you kindness from Luke, reception staff Triage Nurse and Vet Rachel. Your professional knowledge did not mar your compassion to ua as Oliver's parents as we had to lose him. Many thanks and prayers for you and the work you do, Graeme and Marian Hunter

Good big vet. Lots of staff and training. The wait times are higher than usual especially if they're are a few emergencies going on. Would recommend ringing ahead to check their time frame of your appointment on the day.
