One other patient and us. We both been sitting he re for an hour and a half waiting th be seen. The USA is better than this. 😒

If you're thinking of moving to Mildura the best advice I can give is that if you value good healthcare, stay away.
Only TWO doctors working ED on a Friday night, pain relief given twice while waiting, waited over 3 hours, only 2 people in waiting room including myself for the 3 hour duration. Then there were 8 of us waiting. After 5 hours only 2 had gone through with more people still entering.
Not the first poor encounter at Mildura Base. Nurses are often rude though there are a few that occasionally allow a smile, perhaps some are better suited to other occupations. Most of the doctors are hard to understand due to their heavy accents and you'd swear some got their medical degrees out of a cereal box.
I've not heard a single local say anything good about the healthcare system since we moved here and unfortunately it's quite evident why.

After waiting for two hours for a nurse to look at my knee injury, when the time came she didn't even feel my knee and barely looked at it, then proceeded to tell me that I've just over stretched muscles in the knee and I should be fine in the morning. I was in with the nurse for not even five minutes. I went to my physio for a second opinion, got an MRI and I had actually ruptured my ACL and had done other damage.

I was admitted very late at night to emergency following a head knock I sustained after blacking out whilst camping in a remote area. In what was a pretty terrible and worrying situation personally, Chelsea the nurse tending to me throughout the hospital stay was exceptional in terms of her professionalism and level of care which definitely helped me a feel more comfortable, at ease and less stressed out whilst waiting for scans and assessment. Staff took care of things quickly and efficiently. This regional hospital exceeded my expectations.

I have just had surgery at the hospital, and i cant thank every staff member i met enough,Dr Nickhil Patravalli is the most professional Dr i have met he explained my surgery to me , and i felt most comfortable with him ,to his assistance Dr's and all nurses in ward 2 wonderful people nothing was to much trouble. I am very pleased to say i am recovering very well. And am proud of our hospital here in Mildura.
