I work as a chef I can tell it's real Japanese restaurant in newy , come serval times already also it's the only real Japanese I would visit.

I came up from my sydney yesterday to spend time with my best friend & her husband. We thought Red Barron was a great spot to relax, chat & dine! Last night I had to clear the table from the previous occupants to sit down, set the table so that we could eat! We waited over an hour for our first entree (while tables who arrived after us were served) we kept being told "sorry for the wait" but nothing kept happening! The poor buggers were absolutely slammed & short staffed! Amazing food! Terrible service! With all the sorry's that we got, should have been reflected on a bill! People around us, literally just got up and left because they were sick of being forgotten about! Red Barron - you could have at least thanked us for sticking out the 2 hour wait for food with a free drink!

Really beautiful space, food average but will return just for atmosphere some nice drinks and some light food.
