Sold me the wrong cover and now I am having issues with my visa because they did not advise me properly. BE CAREFUL don't trust their suggestions. Very unhappy!

AVOID these bandits. When you hear of insurers being under fire for selling 'junk' insurance policies HIF is mostly likely one of these insurers. I was recently advised I needed to have a basic, minor, common surgery - i was gobsmacked to find the junk policy HIF had sold me did not even cover this basic surgery, the only person just as surprised was my GP when I told her i would not get any coverage.
Moral of the story: AVOID HIF!

they've been ok. we only have Extras Cover as i regularly need remedial massage but found that a lot of the chinese massage places I go to don't recognise this company and so then I have to pay the full amount and wait for the refund which is a bit annoying. they are also slow in responding via email, that's if you're email doesn't bounce back and when you call you're on hold for ages. Maybe not a great one for Queenslanders - will shop around for a more recognised one i think - more money down the drain!
