Awful service! Went there on a Saturday evening and after being seated, waited 25 minutes to have order taken. No table water, or offer to take drink order. After finally asking her to take our order, our waitress could not understand English and the table next to us had to write their order down for her. Our meal took about 45 minutes to arrive (it was only rice and corn chips with guacamole) and one of our meals was missing. Nobody around us was impressed with their service. More staff are definitely needed! Only providing 1 star because I have to, but really disappointed with our experience and can't recommend it.

So I went here with my buddies from the U.S. and I had to write a review. It was our first trip to Sydney and this was definitely the best part of our whole trip. The drinks were flowing and I couldn't believe how good the margaritas were. The nachos were incredible. And, I live in California and we know our Mexican food! The owner Nick came out and took care of us. Patrick was the friendliest bartender ever and I couldn't believe how good the margaritas were! If you're looking for a good time, go to Mexica! We will come back to Australia just to go this place! Worth the 14 hour plane ride!!!

I had a long week at work and wanted to relax, so I head down to the Mexican Cocktail Bar after work not knowing I was going to be disrespected by the bartender/waiter. They were clearly under staffed and looked liked they only had two people working. One in the kitchen cooking and one in the front taking orders, making drinks and serving. My work mate who was already there told me he got some snappy attitude from the bar tender, so
I ordered a sangria during happy hour and waited for my drink. Realising my drink was never going to be served I waved down the man who took my order and asked where my drink was (long story short) he responded "I already served you all your drinks you bought, stop wasting my time!" And walked away. I was thrown back by this and took me a moment to process what just happened. So I approach the man to confront him and told him what he said to me was uncalled for and inappropriate. I continued to say that I didn't appreciate his attitude and his response was " I don't know what you want from me, I served you all the drink you ordered. This isn't a charity case!". Yet again I couldn't believe how this man was talking to me in such a way to make me felt disrespected and offended. I continued to tell him that I didn't appreciate his attitude and eventually gave me the drink I paid for. But I know he only did it to get ride of me due to the pressure he was under, which was still no excuse to treat me in this manner.
I have never been treated so poorly or in that manner in any hospitality establishment EVER! It was the worst customer service I have ever encounter in my life. His behaviour was absolutely disgusting and I will never return to this establishment and let the people I work with to avoid this place!!!

Great place to grab a feed and a killer cocktail. Our favourite is the nachos washed down with plenty of alcohol. This place is a must for anyone going to an event at SOP.
