Friendly staff, plenty of tables, always a relaxed atmosphere. All the meals I've had were pretty tasty pub food! My only complaint is that the $20 salad only gets you about 1 cup worth of salad. I'm happy to pay $20 for a good salad but I'd expect it to be stacked to the sky.

Sunday lunch at the Empire is very enjoyable. Lovely surroundings, good food and drinks, friendly efficient service and 2 for 1 meal deal. What more could you ask for.

Good spot! Visited during Syd craft beer week. Nice ambience, great beer selection. Food was good but menu not great on veg/vegan options. Had the nut cheese board, that was awesome and so nice to see as an option.

This is really unexpected from the outside. If you go into the dining area there are big wing back chesterfield armchairs, candelabras, a big fireplace, stone tables with fancy chairs. They've made great use of the space and it's an inner west gem. The food is delicious with awesome deals each day (like 2-4-1 Sundays!) and they have mulled wine and hot buttered rum to get you through. Totally recommended.
