Way too busy, you always have to compromise your routine as equipment is unavailable. They need blinds on the windows as the sun turns the gym into an oven in summer. One of the staff members there is exceptionally rude.

The Anytime Fitness at Randwick is well equip and consists of collection of fitness related equipment that easily caters for most types of gym attendees. Moreover, the non-fitness related facilities including water fountain, bathrooms and storage space are intuitive and well designed. Having had next to no interpersonal interaction with gym staff, I am underequip to comment on the degree of service provided by staff, however fellow gym attendees are both friendly and courteous.
Unfortunately, a tremendously compromising vice of this gym is maintenance issues. For at least the past four months, the air conditioning within the gym has been broken and thus has not worked near the capacity required. This means that when the outside ambient temperature reaches above 25 degrees centigrade, the temperature within the gym escalates to an uncomfortable level. Further, the gym becomes impregnated with a putrid smell as proper ventilation is denied to gym attendees. Moreover, the ceiling continuously leaks onto the main weights area, due to the damaged air conditioning system.
I can fully understand that having the gym within a shopping centre may induce a certain degree of complexity when attempting to rectify issues with the air conditioning system. I also understand that repairing an air conditioning system may be a complex task, requiring specific components that require time to be manufactured and to be shipped to the country. What I fail to understand is how the management of gym feels compelled to operate in this manner, for four months – across summer, and not even provide its members with adequate updates on the situation, or even to provide temporary measures to try counter this issue (i.e. temporary fans and air conditioning units etc.). I know several other gym attendees that also feel uncomfortable attending the Randwick Anytime Fitness due to this problem, however if we are in the minority, feel free to disregard the contents of this review.
In sum, Anytime Fitness Randwick easily has the capacity to become an excellent gym however has failed its members in trying to rectify an issue which (at least for some) induces a deeply undesirable experience when visiting this gym.
