It deeply saddens me to see they have cut all the trees by the side of the bike lane. I remember cycling every morning to the city passing through the once magnificent and imposing row of green lively trees. Now it is all gone

This is where the NSW government did the bidding of big business and cut down some of Sydney's most magnificent heritage trees (so a car-park and motel could be built by the Racecourse across the road) NB The original and publicly approved lightrail route had the tram line on the OTHER side of the road through the carpark. They came at midnight and axed our park - lost forever.

This is the most wonderful, joyous and inspiring thing that I have ever been involved with - an incredible journey, not at times without great pain, but i have every faith that while there is life there is hope...and we can all choose to re-create paradise :)
