Don't take card. ATM doesn't take card. Bar doesn't take cash. You trade your cash for non refundable tokens then trade the tokens for beer. Very irritating and probably a tax scam

Dear reader,
You will enjoy the authentic German culture there. I went to various events with my German friends and ordered things like Sauerkraut and German sausages. It tasted just like Germany when I was there. The imported beer is expensive, but it is worthwhile to enjoy your Stein every once a while to impress your friends of your beer capacity.
I wish you a pleasant cultural experience ahead!

The beer is amazing and the food is decent (must like pork!). The down side is unfortunately there are too many rules for what kids can and can't do which can lead to a bit of friction with the staff, which is a shame because the sun-drenched lawns are great and there is often a band playing fun music.
However, if you're looking for some genuine German beer (that you don't see anywhere else) and reasonable food with a family Sunday arvo atmosphere that caters for all ages, it's a quaint but fun choice. Just beware of cranky old staff prowling around telling off kids for climbing trees!

I love this place. They have a special kiln for pork knuckle and import their pretzels from Deutschland! Baked warm each day. Some of the oldies have been members longer than I've been alive. Killer trad vibe, and kid friendly too - as long as they stay away from the bar!!! 😂 Naughty table right up the back, next to the ghost of the Oktober Fest Schnapps bar 🤓
