Used to love the place, but sadly it's changed from what it once was. Food was average and service was just terrible. We sat down at a table that was set but not wiped from previous diners, bits of food all over the table and under our plates. Some chairs where broken and worst was seeing the chef smoking a vaporizer in the kitchen while making food.
Disappointed that a once awesome place in Newtown is not what it was. Hopefully it can improve in future .

Good and relatively cheap for this type of cuisine in Sydney also saves me having to go all the way into Chinatown to get something similar

The food here is actually pretty good. Although I ordered one dish which didn't come. My friend was sitting opposite me enjoying her meal, whilst I sat at the table twiddling my thumbs. When we asked the waitress where my meal was she replied with 'it's coming'. 10 minutes later she came back to the table to ask what I had ordered. This place only got 3 stars because the food was good.

Went here on Valentine's Day, always wanted to try this place as we love dumplings. Got a table upstairs, place was filthy, I didn't even want to touch the bottles of soy sauce or vinegar on the tables.
You can eat good food at reasonable prices anywhere, however, there is also an expectation of simple food hygiene. Wipe the bottles of sauce! Looking at the bottles, there's no telling how old the sauce and vinegar was, as it looked like the bottles had never been touched since the place opened.
We ordered vegetarian dumplings, pineapple fried rice and a combination omelette.
The pineapple 'fried' rice was just like boiled rice with 6 pieces of canned pineapple in it, the dumplings were good and the omelette never even made it to our table after an hour of waiting for it.
All in all, revolting, food, atmosphere, cleanliness and service. Never again!
