Yum cha was a terrible mistake here about a year ago. However, recently we were convinced to come back to try the dinner service because they had a crab dinner promotion. It was excellent. Which makes it difficult to review this place. 1 star for yum cha. 5 star for the crab dinner service. Burwood is missing a good yum cha experience. Hope the shop takes note and creates a fantastic yum cha place too.

Golden globe food. Where to begin? I personally do really like the place. It's near the station, it has friendly staff and really good tea, at least to me. So why 3 stars? Because Jesus Christ the freshness of the food is almost non existent. Chicken taste like it's cooked and left over yesterday morning, the greens looks like it's left somewhere for a few days to dryage before it's cooked and the crab taste of dried sea. I would love to give this place 5 star but they need to pick up on the fresh food game. Probably will visit again.

I have been here three times. They always have bad services, guess it's typical for a Chinese restaurant. Food is subpar, expensive, not worth the money. There are plenty other places to eat in Burwood.

The experience at this Yum Cha restaurant was horrible. Though the employees were kind, the food wasn't fresh and was below average; it didn't taste very nice. As we were ordering the food, we noticed that the shrimp dumplings were a bit off, but we ignored it, and didn't make a big deal out of it. However, at the end when we ordered the sweet tofu, my daughter tasted it and felt that it tasted sour. I didn't believe it at first, however it was how she described it, sour. This them confirms that the food the restaurant prepares isn't fresh and some even off. When I called the waiter, the waiter without questioning, or even explaining took the plate of food away. This then indicates knowledge of the quality of the food and still bringing the rotten food to serve. By this time I was already very unsatisfied. The waiter said that he crossed the sweet tofu out, however later as I was calculating, I realised it wasn't cut out at all, instead they added another random dish on. I don't recommend anyone to this restaurant, the food wasn't fresh, neither were the employees honest. NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!! I wish I could give a ZERO star to this restaurant.

Food was decent but service was a bit lacking. Had to call waiters three times to clear the table for dessert, they'd start on it and then go serve other tables midway instead. Watermelon on the fruit platter was stable and rubbery like if you left a cut watermelon in your fridge for two weeks.
