I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. This is the young chicken which was served to me last night, its all pink. I did complain with the waiter and he brought it back to the kitchen. Later he brought out exact same piece of chicken (already cut apart), which was just put in the microwave to warm it up (since the plate was so hot when I touched it). We wouldn't expect this kind of service from a fine dining restaurant. The chicken was still raw even after being warmed up in the microwave. Even the restaurant took the dish off the bill, it was still a very bad experience for us. I didn't feel good at all after that awful dinner >"

We went to dine here recently and were grateful they could fit us in at short notice; the service was good but unfortunately the food left much to be desired.
I’ve had better pasta at many other places. It was a Friday night and they were not that busy so I guess we should have seen that as a red flag. If you’re looking for a good ambiance this place will provide that; but I would suggest going elsewhere if you want to satiate your palate.

Really mediocre food. Had the tomato with boccini cheese salad, fried prawn and calamari (too oily) crab with fusili pasta and ravioli. I won't recommend any of these dishes. Good service. I personally won't come back. There is also a 9% service charge. Not worth the price

It's a rare treat to be able to dine at an institution like Machiavelli. From the moment we stepped in we knew we were in for a great experience. Waiters in their black and whites had our table ready. The portraits of the diners who have graced this restaurant is a who's who of business and political life. Food is of the highest order. Chef Laurent who's graced the kitchen for the best part of 3 decades has a firm command of what the regulars love, but has injected touches of French flair into the menu. Highlights of our meal included soft pillows of brilliance with the gnocchi, freshness of the carpaccio and a stunning lemon tart to complete our meal. Delicious, refined and faultless Italian cuisine!

Honestly the best pasta I have had, even better than Italy. I had the artichoke stuffed ravioli with snapper and scampi. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the service and staff were fantastic. Can't wait to go back when I'm in Sydney again.
