Beautiful Best Western hotel. Clean & modern. Had lovely views of golf course & sea. Friendly staff too.

My husband and I decided we'd like to eat out tonight and opted for Wollongong Golf Club. He chose chicken schnitzel (he asked for vegetables and had to pay an extra $3 even though there were no chips or salad as on the menu). I chose pan fried barramundi.
Initially his meal came as chicken parmigiana and was sent back. The correct meal then came out but mine was brought out as flat head tails (deep fried)! The order is computerised so no real reason for error you would think. So the the flat head tails were sent back. 25mins later my correct meal arrived. I must say the barramundi was lovely but the pea mash was COLD! 2 of the waitresses apologised but really I would suggest it was the kitchen's fault. But thank you ladies. We were offered free coffees as an apology. Yeah right! Would we go there again - definitely NOT. I would recommend you AVOID THIS BISTRO. I rated this as 1 star as I can't give zero

The atmosphere is bright and cheery, but the food took forever to get to our table. The longest wait I've had in a while. The food portion was also small. It was good, but nothing spectacular. The do serve a lot of fried food too, so depending on your tastes, that is either a good or bad thing.

Friendly service, nicely prepared rooms. Let down by having a worn shower head that twisted easily, turning the shower to a dribble. Then was woken at 5am, on a Sunday morning, by noisy ride-on lawn mower mowing the greens just below our room! Will not stay here again for this reason only.
