Terrible experience. Extremely rude and unhelpful owners. Don't book.

We absolutely loved our stay in Gasthof Zum Schupfen.
We went specifically for skiing and were not that interested in spending time in Innsbruck.
This guesthouse is 10 min drive from Innsbruck so we still were able to visit without a problem. Bus stop is literally opposite the guesthouse and you get guest ticket so you don't have to pay for transport around Innsbruck.
The owners are the most lovely and hospitable people you could wish for.
We were aware that check in was from 14.30, however arrived earlier and hoped we could only leave our luggage and head to Innsbruck. Straight away we were made feel very welcome and got keys to our room before check in time.
Yves and Ewelina who run the place are always very helpful and create family like atmosphere.
The closest ski resort is again 10 min drive and we had transport organised by the hotel.
30-40 min drive more ski resorts with some really breathtaking views!
If you drive there is free car park.
Breakfast buffet offers big choice of yummy food.
After skiing we were too tired to go anywhere else but so lucky as the restaurant in the hotel was serving delicious Austrian food. There is also nice small bar where you can enjoy drink before and after dinner.
Special thanks goes to the funny and excellent at his job waiter who made each of our dinners even more enjoyable.
Will strongly recommend this place. It was just perfect.
Thank you again to all the staff we came across with. You made our holidays super special! We will be back :)

This quaint little guesthouse is located just outside Innsbruck on a main bus line, so it's very easy to get to. The room we had was small, but so cozy and we loved it! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with providing us information on transportation and dining. We ended up eating at the restaurant on site and we are so glad that we did...we overindulged from starters to dessert and it was all absolutely delicious! Highly recommended and very decent for such a reasonable price.

The girl at the counter spoke good english. The room was great. We were in a hurry to get to town so they opened kitchen early just for us. Receptionist gave us a bus pass and told us bus timetable and where to get off in Insbruck. In the morning the breackfast was exelent. Top marks.

We booked and paid for an overnight travel stay, but when we arrived at 11 pm no one showed up. So there we were, in the middle of nowhere, with 3 small children and a pregnant wife, tired of driving all day and craving for a good sleep, but apparently the owners really don't care about their guests and just let you and your children down. (at the least, they could have called us and let us know that we weren't able to check in anymore, so we could have searched for another hotel). We had tried to call them that evening to let them know we'd be arriving later due to traffic jams, but no one answered the phone.
We contacted them about this but never received a reply on our emails.
And it even got worse: eventually, we called them to ask whether we could book an overnight stay on our way back home (and get discount, due to the 'cancelled night' we had paid for before). The employee we talked to said this was alright, and that we could check in until 8 pm, latest 9 pm. But when we called at 7:30 to let them know it was going to be 8:30 pm, the owner said they had closed already, and that they had never said it was ok to arrive until 9pm, and bluntly told us that we were lying.
When we told him we were really flabbergasted by his 'hospitality' (or hostility!) and said we would write an online review about this, he threatened to sue us....
Never again!
