This museum houses some of the best technological stuff within and I'm not even sure how to they did it. Definition fantastic to bring kids since they even has 2 dedicated play area for them.
Several categories of technology catered on different floors so you'll be sure to find something that of interest. We didn't even had time to walk around the entire place.
Contrary to what one of the reviewers mentioned, there is a cafe within on the ground floor. Look for it on the map that they give you on entry.
You can definitely spend one whole day here especially if you have kids.

Great place to know and learn technical knowledge applications and history. If you are detailed seeker and enjoy science, one full day is not enough.

I generally enjoy coming here with the kids but if you've been here once then future visits start to get rather dull as there is no change in the exhibits. The kids areas are fun for the kids. There are no suitable toilets for children despite the fact that the museum caters to families. The elevators are tiny and not suitable for prams.

I really don't like museums. I find them generally quite dull, and when people tell me that it takes at least two days to get through some stately home, I simply don't believe them. Until now. My wife and I visited the Technisches Museum expecting to be there for an hour or so. In the end it was over three hours and we left reluctantly, agreeing that it would really take thre days to see it all, and it would all be fascinating. Here I will admit to being a mechanical engineer, but if you are in the least bit interested in anything technical, then this place is just wonderful. Go there. You won't be disappointed. Just take a tent...

Huge and very nice collection. Spent 4 hours there and haven't even noticed how time passed by. One visit isn't enough to see all details. Loved the music section on the top floor. Collection of old bikes and cars is outstanding. One of the best museums of this kind I have ever been to. Highly recommend for kids age 8+ and adults. Children enter for free. No cafe on site so bring snacks and water with.
