Well, we thought this brasserie was great. We dived in having spotted it wandering through. It is not cheap but then again it is Bruges .. and a brasserie ... and I had the King Crab! The people working there were friendly and chatted to us even though they were obviously busy ( I think you get out what you put in!) Great!

Recommended by our hotel. Average/Poor and pricey. Sporadic, Nonchalant Service. Obviously rests on its laurels by being close enough to the square but not "on the square" and therefore afforded some kind of unearned legitimacy. No plates were finished. Avoid. Please.

Food was classic - well cooked and presented. Langoustines were grilled and seasoned perfectly and dessert and coffee came with Belgian chocolate eggs and little cakes. Service was quirky, friendly and polite and the atmosphere added a lot to the experience - Happy groups of people all sharing food and laughter. Only downside is the price, which is common across all Bruges, but €28 for a starter and €32 for a main is punchy.

Superb service. The staff is very professional. Knowledgeable about both food and wine. Aside from that, the kitchen knows what they're doing. If you need an evening that comes close to perfection... This is the place to be.
