I discovered this gem soon after they first opened, more than twenty years ago. To my delight I found they sold manga, some of the first to be sold in Ghent and they still do. I've seen the shop grow larger, reinvented and generally improving all this time. And the best part? The owners Rik and Ann who both have a genuine passion for comics and some of the best customer service you'll ever find.

De Poort has been my go-to comic book store for the past 15 years. Euro comics, American comic, graphic novels, … you name it they have it. Although they now have a webshop I highly recommend dropping by the store for a chat with Rik or Ann. Whatever comics you're into they always have great recommendations.
