Beautiful bridge and town! It's interesting in the summer. Some people will collect money and when they get enough they will jump in. The water is freezing so they're very brave people. I could barely stay standing in the water for a minute.

It was on bucket list. I went. I saw. I was moved by the thought of the conflict and how it must have been.
But they're on it. Typical tourist tat.

This is why the Mostar is famous. Spectacular old bridge (thought reconstructed at some percentage after the war) with very nice view around. Bring proper shoes because you need to be careful while crossing the bridge.. The old city with the cafes, the tavernas and the restaurants around is simply fabulus. The people is also quite friendly and helpul. Parking not a big problem but you need to pay probably (100m away).

Learned this the hard way. Don't go there in flip flops, especially after / during rain. The bridge and all its surroundings become very slippery. After rains, the river becomes muddy brown and loses the usual beautiful emerald color. Spectacular to see especially at sunset.

The bridge is beautiful, the town is pleasant to walk around & it's lovely to relax by the river. However the streets leading to the bridge on either side are a tourist funnel of souvenir shops. I went on a day tour from Dubrovnik, which is perfect if you're just there on holiday. I was travelling around Croatia & wished I'd scheduled to stay overnight here, think it would have a much more laid back atmosphere when us coach tours had gone.
