We stayed at Pousada dos Meninos during Carnival 2014. We have stayed at many pousadas during our time living in Brazil, and Pousada dos Meninos stands out as one of, if not the, best! Fabrício and Romulo, the owners of the pousada, were incredible from the first email. Helping us make arrangements for all of our travel and answering all of the questions we had. The pousada itself was near the center of Ouro Preto and was in one of the amazing old buildings the city is famous for. But it was modernized just enough to be impeccably clean while retaining all of the charm of Ouro Preto. Furthermore, the food at Pousada dos Meninos' breakfast was the best traditional breakfast we had in Brazil. And they also have a small gourmet store attached to the pousada as well. It was an all around perfect experience and I would recommend it without hesitation! I am so hopeful we end up back there one day.
