I booked a car for one week. After we arrived there 1 hour 20 minutes late because of a huge traffic jam in the center of Sao Paulo the very unfriendly employees told me that the car was just reserved for maximum 1 hour after the selected Pick Up time and that the car is gone already. She told us, that this information was provided in the confirmation emails. After reviewing my mails i couldnt find any of that information though, so i guess the staff just made a mistake for which we had to pay with 4 hours of lost time and nerves.
The lady also told us that its usual for them to overbook their cars. So if we would have actually made it in time, some other person would have been screwed since they didnt had any other cars available.
I highly recommend NOT to book any cars at this pick up location. Unfriendly staff that wasn't able to do anything for their customers. We got lucky though and got a car from a relative otherwise our holiday would have been screwed.
