My return stay is already booked. Great neighborhood scene. This location is central to attractions I sought in SPaulo: Art, History Museums, quality dining. Namoa's is 1.5 blocks from the Metro Station; an weekly Open Market occurs in the next block each Wednesday. I've come NOT to expect much from Hostels. Thankfully Namoa's Family Hostel delivered a quality missing in many: Relationship. People traveling, rushing place to place, often 'dull' the friendliness of hostel (or hotel) staff. The staff at Namoa's were an improvement above what I've experienced in my travels. Beyond polite & friendly Namoa's communicated a Sense of Relationship shared by desk clerks to housekeepers. While always clean, the rooms, beds, dining facilities & bathrooms were average quality reflecting the costs. But the Quality or training of staff was far above what I've experienced at higher levels of accommodation.

I called and the staff said that they had a private room. When I arrived, I paid, and when the staff was about to give me the key, he said that there were no vacation. He returned me the money. I went to another hostel, and then I tryed to book there again. The staff ignored me severe times by phone and email. He said that there was vacation, and in the last call, he said that there was not. There was a huge lack of profissionalism and consideration. Extremely desapointing!

good price and excellent place, very close to vila madalena subway station and very calm place, but if you want some fun, the staff can help you a lot, even to go with you

Its okay but it can do better. No ar conditioner, doors are a little crooked. But its very clean and the beds are great.

Had two lost items there. The staff is really good but the owners don't hear the good advice they or the guests give, apparently. The breakfast could have butter instead of margarine
