Great restaurant with the most extensive menu with interesting local recipes. Almost too much to choose from, so we received great recommendations from the waiter. Friendly and sociable service.
Ambience and decoration are amazingly beautiful, fitting the restaurant's traditional and local theme. Make sure to take a trip to the toilets and you'll be able to discover all of it!
The experience was great value for money, with a personally selected drink from the house to top it all off.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Unfortunately, not the best experience. The deco is impressive (very folk!), the garden looks lovely but... here we go... we were four people and ordered 3 hot mains and a salad (as a main). The salad arrived on its own around 20min after ordering. 15 minutes after we had been given the salad, we asked about the other mains and the answer was "they will be here in 5-10min", but we only got them 50min after the salad had arrived. We kept trying to ask about the rest of the mains (we were waiting for so long!) but the staff seemed to be avoiding us, and when we could make eye contact they would only say "it is coming". When the rest of the mains did come (50min after receiving the salad), they were nice but nothing special. Two of them came in fancy plates and our guess is that they did not have many of them and needed them for another table as someone was preaching on us to take them away. As soon as the two of us that were eating on the fancy plates put our cutlery down someone came over to take them while the rest of the table was still working on their food. Very disappointing! Just go somewhere else!

This place is advertised as a typical local cuisine restaurant, which is not very accurate. There is an extremely long menu - 30 pages, and it's hard to pick a dish. Most offers ate not really traditional Bulgarian meals, but rather a variety of European selections. Prices are quite steep for what you get. There are seats outside as well as indoor. The place is usually crowded, so for bigger groups reservations are recommended. Not a very suitable restaurant for families with kids.

The service seemed to have a big problem understanding our orders. We ordered four dishes (two starters and two mains) and only one of the dishes that we received was what we actually ordered. It didn't help pointing this out to the waiter who just said it was 'no problem'. We ended up paying for three dishes that we hadn't ordered plus paying (ungwillingly) 10 levy / 5 euros in tips as they dont give change back since 'the service is not included in the bill'.

This restaurant and it's staff are a destination you need to visit while staying in Sofia.

We sat outside and enjoyed the house draft, the complimentary bread along with the stuffed pepper and a tasty lamb dish. As a nice surprise two free after dinner drinks greeted us when our stomach's were full.

These small touches along with the environment, staff and food make this restaurant a 5 star!
