Service is always wonderful. The restaurant is sort of dark, dimly lit, and romantic in decor, but is usually packed and pretty loud. Expensive, but the food is great. I've never had a disappointing meal here, and love the bacon and blue cheese filet. Great selection of appetizers and desserts too. Wish there were more gluten-free options.

As a rule I generally love the keg. However, tonight we got stuck in the far back dark corner. Beside a few disgusting ,rowdy groups of people. Our waitress was no where to be found until it started to quiet down. My sangria had more fruit than actual fluid in it. I had to stop another waitress to ask them what the specials were for the night since no one told us when we were seated, we were just left. Steak was super chewy, boyfriends lobster was cold and veggies were super salty. Overall not impressed tonight. Hopefully next time we don't get put it the dark musty smelling back corner and can actually enjoy our dinner.

As a small family, we eat there once a week, and I actually get take out from the Keg, for myself, once a week. Always great food, nice staff and very, well, managed. No matter how busy they are, they are always accommodating and happy to take my order to go. It's probably the best restaurant in the Barrie area , if you want consistently great food and really pleasant staff.

My husband and myself were celebrating our anniversary and it was excellent evening. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server Nancy was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. She added two candles too our desert and that made us feel special and happy. Thank you Nancy for your hospitality.

This must be the best restaurant in Barrie. We arrived on a Sunday night for supper, without a reservation and were told it would be about 40 minutes for us to get a table. While we were willing to wait we were actually seated withing 15 minutes! Though a fair distance from the front door the table was ideal as I was able to keep my walker close by while out of the way, in keeping with the Ontario Fire Code.
Our server Brittany was friendly, professional, efficient and extremely accommodating.Though she had many guests to attend to Brittany frequently checked in to see how we were doing.
Our meals arrived in a timely manor and was cooked to perfection. After the table was cleared I was treated to the Billy Miner Pie, complete with a lit candle as we were celebrating my birthday. Our bill was ready before the dessert came so once we were finished we were able to leave promptly as the server was ready with the machine.
Two drawbacks were that the washrooms were at the front entrance and therefore quite a distance from our table and though there was a stall in the washroom for persons with disabilities the door was not automatic which made going in and out very difficult.
