When i signed up they only showed me some of the Equipment on my first day, then wanted to sell me a personnel Trainer package. I was not interested at that point but wanted to have more info on machines and which ones where good for what i wanted. She said yes and the next day I was pawned off to a different Girl who was not very interested in showing me the machines. She said, ok which ones do you want to know. (I don't know which ones are good for me to use!!) There was one machine i wanted to know, i got..oh this one is too complex you don't need to know this one yet. Excuse me??
I think its their Responsibility to show a new person how to use the machines properly and in a safe way.
I was not very motivated to work out there anymore as i did not know half the machines.
I just cancelled my Membership and received a call on Sunday and he informed me that i still had a 1hr session available that shows me the machines. I told him that i was not given that option and i felt since i was not interested in purchasing the personnel training sessions (which are too expensive) i was left on my own.
All about sales instead of helping a person.
Great place and great variety of machines.. but personnel very very bad and only interested in sales.

Let me preface this by saying the following is not entirely blaming the staff. They do what they can, and I appreciate that. But since this is the location I'm having the issue with, i'll mention it here.

I signed up for personal training about 4 months back, for nearly $500 a month. Just 2 months in, I had been passed between 3 trainers going on number 4.

Each of them had quit after complaining of being underpaid, causing me to constantly be placed with a new trainer, which set back my training for at times weeks, it was terrible service.

Trainers were constantly cancelling appointments as they held others jobs to make ends meat, and I don't blame them. At times not working for weeks at a time and receiving pennies on the dollar based on the number of people they trained. This led to terrible service.

After providing terrible service far from what was promised, and then completely failing to provide me any training sessions for 2 months, the refuse to cancel my contract and continue to withdraw $500 a month against my consent each month!

Literally robbing me after not delivering on anything they promised, i'm not sure how they are able to get away with this but rest assure I'll ensure they don't.

Details of my incident are being distributed to every major media channel from TV, to Radio, Print, and even social media.

Guess it helps getting word it when you own your own media agency?

I'll be getting VISA and my legal team involved as well. Not going to take this lying down.

This gym is well aware their trainer turnover is incredible high, and it's impossible to provide a consistent training service to clients. So why are they aloud to sign 6 and 12 month contracts? They clearly do it so that when they fail to service you (which they know they will) you can't leave! This is insane.

I commend the staff for talking with me calmly, but clearly they are pressured not to pass clients higher up the chain, and to shut them down as quickly as possible.

I was straight up told there is absolutely nothing they can do, they will keep taking my money, and I should either pay to cancel, or use up all my time at once. Nice!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, YOU WILL REGRET IT I ASSURE YOU!

I prefer this LA fitness to the one in the north end. It’s bigger has more equipment and more variety for workouts. The one thing that sucks is it can get quite busy at times.

I am very happy with their services and the equipments they have and despite of everyone saying bad things about their facility not being clean this is not my view. I normally go early in the morning and see a cleaning lady always working and on top of that I do my share of cleaning the equipments after I use them and I do see a lot of members doing the same. Yes some of the personal trainers can be not so friendly (maybe the reason we are seen some new faces) I really recommend Aidan (he's awesome) and Matt is very friendly and helpful. Alex the Director went extra miles to ensure I get the right information and attention needed. I always get smile and a good morning from the receptionists. I won't give 5 stars because I never used their pool and sauna yet so I can speak on that. I really like the environment there.

Perhaps consider a greater focus on regular/routine cleanliness, assuring that emenities such as the hot tub & sauna are always functioning & on staff friendliness/interaction as you walk in would be greatly appreciated. We as paying members appreciate being welcomed on an on/going basis & not just when we are sig.n up. Happy members will look forward to going & will attend more often. Great equipment & classes. Let's make a good club great!
