This is by far the best restaurant in Calgary. The food is amazing, cocktails inventive, and a staff that is stellar.

I usually enjoy Cassis, I have been going here for a few years now, but today may have been one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had that has convinced me never to come again. First of all, it took over 1.5 hours to receive our entrees. During this period, our waiter did not bother to take a single second out of his time to refill our water or drinks. Nor did he bother to come to apologize or provide us updates as to how long the food will take. When I was finally able to flag him down and explain to him that we have been waiting for our food for over an hour, his response was "it is coming", as he proceeded to walk away. 30 minutes later, our food still had not arrived. We asked to speak to a manager, and they responded with "we have no managers". Unbelievable. The waiter we had certainly had some sort of God complex like we should be deferential to him because of how great the restaurant is. Also, the food was pretty average given the $120+ price tag and the 1.5 Hour+ wait.
The entire time, not a single person apologized or offered something for our troubles.

Best french restaurant in the city. I can't wait to go back. There is no better food and service around in a cozy atmosphere.

Food was excellent, but service was not great this time. I hate being charged for vivreau when I request tap water. Shady sales tactic to bump sales a couple bucks. Bread was not offered and we had to ask for it. The server actually cleared the side plates before it was brought by the SA, who replaced the side plates. He actually paid more attention to us than our server did. There was also someone banging things hard behind the wall in our corner booth for about 15 minutes which took away from our experience.

Amazing french food with a seafood and meat dish special daily. The food is always fresh and delicious and the owners and staff are exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant and try to go every few months.
Cassis is hands down one of the top restaurants in the city.
