All seems well. Good food and service. When I get home however I head straight to the toilet. A few other places cause the same result ànd I stay away from them as well.

Stopped here with a group of friends for brunch. I had the avocado benny, which was delicious. The service was great and there are $5 Caesars on Sundays. This comes in quite handy if you are nursing a hangover.

The eggs Benny was good, the roasted potatoes as well, but the sausage - OH THE SAUSAGE! The house-made sausage was sent down from heaven itself, blessed by culinary angels and delivered unto my plate, changing my entire paradigm of breakfast meats.
It really is that good. Probably better.

After reading the reviews, I was quite looking forward to trying out this place. The surroundings put me off a bit. The restaurant is located in what looked to be a mostly abandoned strip mall but it did mean that there was ample parking.
My sister, her husband and I met for brunch so we ate on the restaurant side. The interior was very pleasant, bright and airy with comfortable chairs. Seating that is not akin to mild torture devices are not a given anymore so that was appreciated.
The staff was friendly, prompt, and attentive . No complaints there.
The coffee was excellent and the sides were good but main attraction left much to be desired. I had the spinach frittata with goat cheese and mushroom. I think it was well cooked but it was the spinach that did me in. I figure they must have used canned spinach, something I hadn't had in decades. Canned spinach takes on special flavor that just don't care for. It is probably OK in a dish with lots of other strong flavours going on but the delicacy of the eggs was no match for it even armed with goat cheese.

We just finished eating at The Block and I believe this is one of the best restaurants in Calgary! The food was perfect, the atmosphere is beautiful and I can not compliment the service enough. Our servers name was Shawn and he is the best server I have had at any restaurant! He was helpful and could build a authentic relationship with his customers! This was the first of many more visits to come at this restaurant.
