Pathway system interrupted this summer by gas pipeline work. Stairwell featured in the photo needs work; wooden rails collapsed. Short patches of new fencing with gates appearing at isolated spots. Poles going into the ground for more fencing. Drainage improvements spotted. Paving appears inevitable. When the trail is open it's common to encounter bikes going downhill and on the river flat extremely fast. Will probably end up preferring the way it was.
