I hurt my hip and leg, a chiro made it worse. Spent 4 years dealing with the pain, going through Doctor after Doctor. I did rehab myself to get semi functional. Shortly after, I injured the other side. I wanted to cry at the thought of it all again. Some guy told me to go see Ken, I figured why not. Ken diagnosed instantly, and had me up and running. Ken saved my quality of life.

Broke my C3, C4 & T6 in January, in an MVA. I started physio at the beginning of April and by the third week of September I was back to work driving my concrete mixer truck. I feel pretty much back to normal, and always enjoyed going in to see Ken and Amy. Thanks for all the help!

Ken, the physiotherapist, and his assistant, Amy, are absolutely hilarious to watch in action as they align patients into individualized physio programs. They are very helpful, answer questions, and aren't afraid to try new approaches and make suggestions. The community feeling created by these natural comedians is a highlight. I go there for physio and to enjoy the conversations and community feel. Ken is the least expensive physiotherapist in Calgary, and frankly, the best value ever. One gets more than physiotherapy and relief at Forest Lawn Physio, one gets programming, attention, learning, and a fabulous time!

I saw this listing and had to comment, though this applies to several years ago. The problems I had may no longer be an issue, but they were severe enough that I still won't go back, though the office is a few blocks from my home and super convenient. Dr. Cook was nice and seemed knowledgable, but he had far too many patients and you barely saw him. Treatment seemed a bit haphazard: you never knew much about what was planned for your treatment and it was always a surprise. But they did some things that helped and some of the tech staff were good. The issue was his receptionist/helper: a thin, foul tempered filipino woman who yelled all the time. She may no longer work there, but she'd been there a long time when I was going and everyone I know who went there talked about how rude she was. One time the Dr. asked her to demonstrate some exercises from a sheet for me. She stalked in, grabbed a towel, limply tugged it behind her back once or twice, said "just go back and forth like this... the paper shows you" and stalked off. Helpful? No. The final straw was the day she injured me. I'd had moist heat and electronic muscle stimulation for 20 mins. It makes you very numb. She came in to take the taped electrodes off my back, and typically, was treating me like a mannequin, ripping off the tape quickly and roughly, not talking to me, in a huge rush. Then she pulls one off my lower back and I hear a sharp intake of breath, and she starts patting down an area of my back with her finger tips. I'm pretty sure she must have pulled up my skin, so I ask what happened. Irritably, she says "Nothing, it's fine." I was unable to turn my neck to check, so I had to take her word for it. I put on my sweater and jacket and my husband drove me home, and started to feel stinging pain along the way. When I got out of the car, we both saw it: a big blood stain on my new car seat. My sweater and jacket were soaked and ruined too. She had badly torn my skin, and due to the moist heat and muscle stimulation, my circulation there was very high and it bled like mad. She sent me home from a medical office with an open wound, nothing to protect it from dirt and infection, and cost me a bundle in a new jacket, sweater and major car seat cleaning, just to avoid doing the right thing, admitting her error, and properly treating the wound she caused. I never went back. I could have complained, but this woman was openly rude to everyone and they were all speculating as to why she kept her job. There is no way the doc didn't know what she was doing. I'd go back if she wasn't there any more, but I'm not really willing to chance it. When you leave a docs office with an injury you didn't have going in, you get leery.
