I have such a love-hate relationship with TD Insurance. The wait times (especially on a Monday) are absolutely unacceptable. Now that I know this, I call them, put it on speaker and go about my life until someone answers. However yesterday, I needed to leave my house so after 1.5 hours on hold, I went to my parkade and the call dropped so I needed to start all over.
Over the day I was on hold for over 2.5 hours before getting someone on the line. With that said, once I was on the line with someone - she was very pleasant, professional and helpful. I bought a new vehicle and she wanted to make sure that I received the temporary insurance documents by email before hanging up so I wouldn't need to call back and wait and so she held the line and waited with me.
So in summary - the wait times are brutal. Totally unacceptable and I don't know how they justify them and don't just hire more staff. However, I have been happy with every staff member that I have spoken with.

Not competitive in pricing. Do not work with customers to resolve their issues. Failure to provide details and information regarding fraudulent claims (did not at any time investigate). Customer service wait times are excessive. Do not want to hear why you are unhappy (don't even ask). Simply put, Meloche does not care about it's customers well-being or their insurance security. There are many other insurance companies with far better customer service who listen to their customers and do their best to resolve any issues.

Been on hold now for 2hrs and 40 mins and counting. How do you run a business like this? Im trying to insure a car i bought today. These wait times are unacceptable.

9 years of insurance with Zero Claims and like others, my insurance keeps going up! Tried to make 1 small claim for a tire on a rental vehicle and even though I spoke to them before renting the car (they told me I was covered for everything on the rental)...After several weeks, they told me they didnt cover it. A small $150 claim. They have lost my business and I have found cheaper, better insurance elsewhere. Good Bye TD!!
