Great management by Roy: he helped us very efficiently and generously gave great service. The car was very clean and economic, and Roy has really nice communication.

One of my worst customer experiences with a car rental. The staff took almost 2 hours to give us a car we booked a couple days in advance. First, the representative (Jeremy A.) did not pay attention to us whatsoever, it took him 25 minutes to say a word to us, mumbling "the system is restarting". Then, when putting in the driver's details, he took a long time and did not respond to any of my questions regarding the rental. When asking us for personal details, he would snap a two-word question we would not understand, making us look dumb. To a question on insurance and liability options, he answered: look it up, it's online. I have never experienced such a rude and unprofessional personnel. He also put a wrong return date and my driver's license number on our contract. He did not apologize for the poor service he provided. I would not recommend renting a car in Avis/Budget office in Kingston unless you have no other option, be prepared to deal with unprofessional staff.
The car was ok at the end, but this experience ruined the beginning of our trip and I would not rent a car there again. I have heard from other people to have a similar experience, unfortunately.

I booked a few cars on behalf of a club. There was some confusion due to a mistake I had made in the booking, but it was handled brilliantly. Roy was exceptionally helpful and understanding, and a pleasure to deal with. We'll definitely be using avis again.

On route to Montreal from 2 hrs west of of Toronto, our car broke down an hour outside of Kingston at 4 pm on the Friday of a long weekend.The dealer was closing and not of much use. The tow truck would not get to us for at least 90 min and we would not get into Kingston for at 2 1/2 hrs by which time all the rental agencies would have been closed. Roy was magnificent. He promised to return to the Avis agency and meet us after hours. He kept his promise and our vacation went well. Just cannot say enough about Roy and his team. To care enough to just be there and lend a hand to a stranger in trouble was more than we could have asked or hoped for. Thank you Roy and AVIS.

The service was excellent. We came into Kingston by boat a day earlier than anticipated. We called Avis and spoke to Roy about getting a vehicle. Because we were arriving on a Sunday, Avis was closing at 5 pm. We were not getting into the marina until 7 pm-ish. Roy went out of his way to make sure we would have a vehicle, despite us arriving after closing. He called me for updates on our arrival time and then met me at Avis once we finally arrived. Absolutely above and beyond all expectations. The price of the vehicle was also excellent and better than I would have expected. Overall a fabulous experience and would recommend Avis to anyone. Ask for Roy!! He's great :)
