I went during the summer for lunch. The waitress told us that the "bread is in the oven" and she brought it out during our meal (when it's supposed to be before?!) after the soup (which was also not very warm) we ordered while I was having my steak. Didn't know that bread out of the oven was supposed to be cold and stale. Besides the bread (that I doubt was even in the oven in the first place), my steak was dry and I felt like they focused on presentation more than taste. I tried the hen (that looked more like a chick),which wasn't too spectacular, that my boyfriend ordered. Overall, the taste was not worth the price (especially for a uni student). The waitress was very friendly and professional though!

The decor was wonderful and the service superb! As for the food ... I had the chicken and the skin was rubbery and the chicken was not tender. My boiled potatoes were almost raw. I went for this dish as it had brussel sprouts and I love them. There were 2 sprouts cut in half. My husbands meal was about as good as mine. It looks like people like the breakfast from the reviews but the dinner ..... I would not go here again!

Very beautiful and pleasant location. We came for lunch. The food was great- tasty and great presentation. You don't come here to stuff your face. The food is an adequate portion size and extremely tasty and well presented. Loved the sourdough bread and butter that comes on the table. Will return for dinner!

Beautiful scene on the hill, quite and elegant. Came here on a Sunday for brunch, sitting next to the window is the best experience! I ordered the egg benedict. The portion was not big for the price ($16) but later we found out the coffee and juice we ordered were included. We were also served fresh baked bread and it was delicious! The baked potato that came with the eggs was also perfectly cooked: soft inside and golden crispy outside. I definitely will go again for dinner!

We almost didn't come because of a negative review about tasteless bread and butter. Thank goodness we came. The meal was excellent from beginning to end. The sourdough bread and butter was plentiful, warm, and delicious. We have never had pork belly, but we tried it on the recommendation of the waitress - wonderful. The pickerel was light and tasty, and the tartar sauce the best we've ever tasted. The desserts were rich and interesting, but we over indulged. A delicious meal, excellent service, and lovely ambience.
